Jimkata, the Los Angeles based electro-rock band which returned to the headlines last month following a two-and-a-half-year hiatus, has released another new single entitled “Wait For You”. The new track shared on Thursday follows the previously released “Wanna Go” and acts as just the band’s third single since 2016.

The song opens with the repetitive chords of a keyboard, which also helps to welcome the viewer into its colorful music video shared along with the single. The track doesn’t take long to pick up the energy with a rhythm and chorus line that easily gets the adrenaline pumping. The video even launches viewers into orbit by the end, leading to a swirling cosmic tapestry of color to make for a fitting finale.

“‘Wait For You’ the track narrates the feeling of being in limbo – sitting around waiting and feeling restless while navigating uncertainty,” singer Evan Friedell mentioned in a statement shared via press release. “I didn’t realize at the time I wrote it how prescient and universal that feeling would become as we experience a global pandemic and a world in chaos.”
