Australian rock outfit King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard recently announced the forthcoming release of their latest studio album, Fishing For Fishies, scheduled to arrive on April 26th via Flightless Records.
Fishing For Fishies will be the band’s first studio effort since the popular rock band released a mind-blowing five full-length albums in 2017, including Flying Microtonal Banana, Murder of the Universe, Sketches of Brunswick East (with Mild High Club), Polygondwanaland, and Gumboot Soup.
On Thursday, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard released a new single, “Boogieman (Sam)”, marking the bands’s second single release ahead of their new album. The Aussie rockers shared “Cyboogie” at the end of January. “Boogieman (Sam)” opens up with an effects-heavy guitar rift before the band joins in together on vocals, lathered with some sizzling harmonica work.

The band’s upcoming run of North American concerts is scheduled to begin on August 13th with a show at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, CA. The tour will keep the band on the road performing for their fans in the U.S. and Canada before wrapping on September 6th in Dallas, TX, after which they’ll head across the ocean for a show in London in early October. Fans should presume that the band will announce more international concert dates in the coming months leading up to the arrival of Fishing For Fishies.
