Full-show video of Lettuce‘s recent performance at GroundUp Music Festival in Miami Beach, FL this past weekend on February 16th has arrived to YouTube. The fan-shot video encapsulates the funk band’s hour-long set at the North Beach Bandshell, where the they managed to squeeze six songs in just under the 60-minute mark.
After a glowing introduction from Shaun Martin of Snarky Puppy, Lettuce got right down to business and opened up the show with “Krewe” from the band’s 2019 Grammy-nominated album Elevate. Then came a blast from the past with “Sam Huff’s Flying Raging Machine” from 2008’s Rage, followed by the airy composition “Phyllis”. The band then launched into a pair of covers, starting with Tears For Fears‘ “Everybody Wants To Rule The World” followed by “Oakland Stroke” by Tower of Power. After a run through the funk classic, Lettuce transitioned straight into “Nyack” to close out the set.
