Lizzo made a handful of her fans feel Special with an “Undercover Sing” on Jimmy Kimmel Live! The pre-recorded segment saw the singer surprise hardcore fans who thought they had been selected to give feedback on her new album, Special, out now.
While fans donned headphones and listened to cuts from the new LP, Lizzo stood in the other room feeding new lyrics into a microphone. Some of the new words really spoke to fans, literally, as she addressed some by name before bursting into the room. “I feel like I’m on Maury,” she said before surprising one of her fans. Lizzo fanatics greeted her with a wide range of reactions, from cationic hysteria to the inability to utter anything except “Bitch!”
Though she has already shown off her skills as a singer, songwriter, performer, and actress, Lizzo added another notch to her belt as she served one of her fans a vegan BLT with fries, before also giving her—and all the other fans—tickets to her show at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, CA on November 18th. The show will mark the grand finale of Lizzo’s impending The Special Tour, set to begin on September 23rd in Florida. The artist recently announced that she and Live Nation will donate $1 million of the tour’s proceeds to several abortion access groups.
