Lukas Nelson & Promise Of The Real are the latest act to be added to the lineup for this year’s LOCKN’ Festival. Riding the wave of success from their 2017 self-titled release, Lukas Nelson–son of Willie Nelson–and The Promise Of The Real will bring their impressive originals to the festival for the first time ever this summer. The band backed Neil Young for his politically-charged The Monsanto Years release in 2015, even touring with him until the 2016 live album Earth. After taking 2017 off, Lukas Nelson recently revealed that they’d be recording and touring with Young again in 2018. Without any official announcement from Neil’s camp yet, we’ll keep our fingers crossed for a LOCKN’ appearance.
Lukas Nelson & The Promise Of The Real will join previously-announced artists Dead & Company (four sets over two days), Umphrey’s McGee (three sets over two days), Tedeschi Trucks Band (two sets over two days), Turkuaz, Lettuce (three sets over two days, including a tribute to Jerry Garcia Band), George Clinton & P-Funk, Toots & The Maytals, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, and The Suffers. As previously reported, LOCKN’ will be making new lineup additions every day until the complete bill is released on February 8th. You can check out the artist rollout, including set times, via LOCKN’s website.
LOCKN’ returns to Infinity Downs Farm from August 23rd through 26th. Tickets for the festival will go on sale at noon EST on Friday, February 9th. For more information about LOCKN’ or for ticketing, head over to the event’s website here.
