Mimi Naja, the singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist best known for her work with Fruition, has released her latest solo EP, Nothing Has Changed. To mark the new release, Naja will perform a live stream from Nashville’s Purple Building tonight, Friday, April 2nd at 9:00 p.m. ET.
When the pandemic radically altered life around the globe, Mimi found a silver lining by entering a substance treatment program and has been sober since April 2020. Her latest solo endeavor, out today on all streaming services, is honest and revealing, and while the title may seem pessimistic, a deep dive into the layers unveils a call for reinvention.
As Mimi noted in a post on social media, “I am so proud of this record and grateful to all parties involved in its actualizing. It takes a village these days, and sometimes these days feel long, so release day is just that… a huge feeling of release. These songs have been on my heart throughout my early recovery journey, so to give it to you just a few days shy of my 1-year sober mark really feels poignant and special.”
