My Morning Jacket was the virtual musical guest on Wednesday night’s episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon where the rock band performed “Spinning My Wheels”, the opening track from their new studio album, The Waterfall II, which arrived last Friday.
Similar to other late-night performances these days, the band didn’t actually perform the song together. Rather, it appears each member of the rock group delivered their live take on the relaxing song separately in what appeared to be a studio setting. Thanks to some smooth video editing, however, shots of each member gradually transition into the next and even combine like that of a real-time collage to make it seem like the band is performing in one place.
