Neil Young has revealed the tracklist for an impending 10-disc box set entitled Archives Volume II: 1972–1976. The collection, available on November 20th with pre-orders starting October 16th, will chronicle his career from just after 1972’s Harvest through his Asian and European tours with Crazy Horse in 1976.

The project comes as the latest in a long line of planned archival releases from Young, though this is one of the few to actually have a concrete release date. So far, the singer-songwriter has announced archive releases for his Carnegie Hall debut in 1970, the Road Of Plenty 1980s rarities album, three other archival collections set for release this year, the Noise and Flowers live album and concert film announced last week, and a new EP of music dubbed The Times, all with no firm release date.

Among the mammoth 131-song tracklist for Archives Volume II are 12 previously-unheard songs, including a cover of Joni Mitchell‘s “Raised On Robbery”. Other tracks that will see their debut on the archival release are “Letter From ‘Nam”, “Come Along and Say You Will”, “Goodbye Christmas on the Shore”, “Sweet Joni”, “Speakin’ Out Jam”, “Greensleeves”, “Frozen Man”, “Give Me Strength”, “Daughters”, “Born To Run”, and “Mediterranean”. In addition to those 12 new songs, the box set will also feature 50 previously-unreleased versions of songs.

Archives Volume II begins with a disc of songs from 1972 and 1973 entitled Everybody’s Alone, which sees the debut of several new compositions. After the 1973 Tuscaloosa live album on disc two comes an expanded version of Tonight’s the Night, which features the Mitchell cover in addition to a new opening jam on the album. The collection also includes live performances from the Roxy Theatre, Budokan Hall in Japan, and Hammersmith Odeon in London, as well as expanded versions of On the Beach, Young’s recently released “lost” album Homegrown, and even more music that defines one of the most prolific songwriting periods of Young’s career.

Archives Volume II: 1972–1976 will be available for pre-order only through the Neil Young Archives, with orders beginning on October 16th. Visit the Neil Young Archives for more information and see the full tracklist below.
