NOFX has added a final string of tour dates to its ongoing farewell tour, including the band’s last shows ever. The “40 Years, 40 Cities, 40 Songs Per Day” tour will culminate with a three-night run in Los Angeles in October 2024.
The additions include 15 new shows in eight cities across the United States and Canada. Returning from international touring next year, NOFX will play in Fort Worth, TX (4/6), Salt Lake City (4/13), Portland, OR (6/29–6/30), and Denver (7/20–7/21) before crossing into Canada show shows in Edmonton (8/10–8/11) and Montreal (8/23–8/24). Finally, the tour will wind down with shows in Boston (8/31–9/1) followed by the final three-night run at Berth 46 in the San Pedro neighborhood of L.A. (10/4–10/6).
“We’ve played over 2,000 shows in 33 countries, in more than 300 cities and darn it…we’re a bit tired,” frontman Fat Mike said of the band’s final tour. “One thing I know in my heart…this is going to be the most emotional, heartbreaking, greatest tour of our career. I’ve never been so excited and at the same time terrified. Mostly excited…”
Launched in Austin back in April, NOFX promised unique setlists every night of the farewell tour for a unique show every night. Fans in 40 cities across the globe were invited to join the groundbreaking punk band one last time as it powered through full-album performances, rarities, and more.
Of course, rock fans have heard the “last tour ever” schtick plenty of times. The Who, Ozzy Osbourne, KISS, Dead & Company, etc. etc., several of whom Fat Mike name-checked in the original tour announcement before emphatically stating, “We are gonna play with all our hearts…With all our joy…And then we are done. We are done done.” Lingering suspicions aside, Fat Mike does seem to be planning for his retirement as he helped create the first-ever museum dedicated to punk rock, now open in Las Vegas.
Tickets for the newly announced NOFX tour dates, including the band’s last shows ever, go on sale on Monday, November 20th at 10 a.m. PT here. See below for the detailed list of tour dates.
