Ozzy Osbourne, his wife/manager Sharon, and their famous son Jack were the featured interview guests on Jenny McCarthy‘s SiriusXM show over the weekend. The veteran rocker and his family gave some positive updates on the major health issues that have plagued Osbourne over the past few years resulting in repeated tour postponements, along with news on his forthcoming biography, The Nine Lives of Ozzy Osbourne, which will premiere on A&E on September 7th.

Osbourne revealed his Parkinson’s Disease diagnosis earlier this year and had been exploring treatment options around the globe prior to the arrival of COVID-19 in March. Ozzy has also dealt with serious complications from a fall he suffered in February 2019 which required surgery. Prior to that, the 70-year-old was hospitalized due to complications from the flu—the same illness which led to the postponement of his U.K. and European shows in January 2019.

“I’m not back to 100 percent. I’m about 75 percent there, but it’s such a slow recovery,” Ozzy told McCarthy from his home in Los Angeles while sitting beside members of his family. “I’m still having a lot of pain, but nothing like it was. There was a point when I said to Sharon the other day that I was convinced I was dying. I was in that much discomfort, pain, and misery.”

McCarthey also asked Ozzy on the status of whether he may ever perform again with the entire country going through a major health emergency.

“I cannot wait,” Ozzy continued on the possibility of returning to performing in the near future. “But I was trying to determine the other day. With the way it’s going with this coronavirus, indoor shows will be a thing of the past.”
