Pearl Jam has released the latest single from the band’s forthcoming Gigaton album, due out on March 27th via UMG, entitled “Superblood Wolfmoon”.

The latest single joins previously released tracks “Dance Of The Clairvoyants ” and a snippet of “River Cross“. The new song should already seem somewhat-familiar to fans as the band shared a preview of “Superblood Wolfmoon” via an augmented reality app last week.

All of the marketing gimmicks aside, “Superblood Wolfmoon” sounds like Pearl Jam has returned to its roots with a high-energy rock performance that will no doubt transition flawlessly to packed arenas. With the addition of this latest single, the slivers audiences have from Gigaton are beginning to create a picture of what the album may entail. Whereas “Dance Of The Clairvoyants” embodied some of the more experimental tendencies of the band’s later years, “Superblood Wolfmoon” shows the group has certainly not forgotten its roots and is still able to kick out the jams.
