Jason Isbell continued his acoustic run at The Paramount in Huntington, NY on Thursday night. The guitarist/singer-songwriter and former Drive-By Truckers member performed a set of mostly original compositions, including Jason Isbell and The 400 Unit songs, plus covers of R.E.M.‘s “Driver 8” and Morgan Wade‘s “Wilder Days”, which featured Sadler Vaden on lead vocals. Amanda Shires also joined the band for a rendition of her song, “Parking Lot Pirouette”.
The setlist for Jason Isbell’s acoustic tour has been a relatively consistent shuffle of fan favorites, like “24 Frames” which opened the show, “Alabama Pines”, and “Cover Me Up” to close the set. Thursday’s encore featured “Tour of Duty” and a bonus “If We Were Vampires”.
