Rush has shared a new animated music video for the fan-favorite rock anthem, “The Spirit Of Radio”, which originally appeared on the band’s 1980 Permanent Waves album.

The two surviving members of the Canadian prog-rock trio said of their new “conceptual music video” in a statement,

The animated video captures the magic, spirit and growth of the FM radio format with a nostalgic nod to the pioneering DJ’s broadcasting music into homes around the world. The video also pays homage our late brother and fellow bandmate Neil Peart whose music and lyrics continue to capture the hearts and imaginations of the fans.

Co-directed by David Calcano and Alberto Hadyar, the video’s arrival over the weekend mirrors the release of a new short film which was narrated by Peart prior to his death earlier this year.
