Another member of the Grateful Dead family is celebrating the launch of their own line of cannabis products as the gradual legalization of the plant across the country continues to flourish heading into the new decade.
Steve Parish, the longtime roadie and equipment manager for the Dead and the Jerry Garcia Band from 1969 until 1995, announced on Tuesday morning that he has teamed up with California-based cannabis growers Grizzly Peak to launch his own line of “Big Steve” pre-rolls and multi-packs. The products can be purchased by those of legal age at dispensaries around California.

Parish’s announcement comes just a week after the estate of his longtime boss and friend (Jerry Garcia) revealed their own forthcoming line of cannabis branded around the famous guitarist, which will arrive in 2020. Grateful Dead drummer Mickey Hart also celebrated the launch of his own “Mind Your Head” cannabis brand earlier this year, which included 1/3-gram joints sold at select dispensaries throughout the Northern California region.
The “Big Steve” products are the latest from the California growers which already have a strain called, “Grateful Dave’s.”
