Tame Impala has announced their full touring plans for the coming spring and summer months, which will see the popular Australian psych-rock band return to North America beginning in late May. The band will spend nearly the entire summer playing arenas and outdoor amphitheaters in promotion of their forthcoming studio album, The Slow Rush, due out on February 14th via Interscope.

The band’s 2020 summer tour picks up a few months after their brief spring trek with a show at Chicago, IL’s United Center on May 29th. From there, the tour will hit major cities across the U.S. and Canada with shows at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, MI (05/31); Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, ON (6/2); State Farm Arena in Atlanta, GA (6/9); Enterprise Center in St. Louis, MO (7/19); American Airlines Center in Dallas, TX (7/24); Pepsi Center in Denver, CO (7/30); and Rogers Arena in Vancouver, BC (8/5), to name a few. The tour will come to a close with a show at The Gorge Amphitheater in George, WA on August 7th.
Festival-goers should take note that Tame Impala will hit the southeast U.S. in early June, and will be in the region the same weekend as Bonnaroo (6/11–14) but didn’t include a Tennessee date into the tour schedule shared on Monday—which appears to hint that Kevin Parker and company will make their return to “The Farm” for the festival next year.
Tickets for the new 2020 summer dates go on sale this Friday, December 13th, at 10 a.m. local time. A special pre-sale for AMEX cardholders will begin on Wednesday, December 11th at 10 a.m. local time through December 12th at 10 p.m. local. Head to the band’s website for tickets and tour info.
