Kevin Parker a.k.a Tame Impala was one of the featured musical guests on Saturday’s “Music From the Homefront” virtual benefit event. The televised concert special featured a mix of notable musicians from Australia and New Zealand who helped to raise money for COVID-19 relief efforts. For his appearance on Saturday’s broadcast, Parker delivered a solo acoustic rendition of “On Track”, one of the new originals which appeared on Tame Impala’s latest studio album, 2020’s The Slow Rush.

Since the album’s arrival on Valentine’s Day earlier this year, Parker has shared an entire remix version of the studio project entitled, The Slow Rush In An Imaginary Place, in hopes of providing fans with an escapist experience during this global shutdown of live music.

The taped performance saw a casually-dressed parker playing the slow track on his nylon string acoustic guitar, which was aided by some subtle, dreamy-sounding reverb. Watch the solo performance from Saturday’s webcast below.
