Tedeschi Trucks Band recently wrapped the 2019 edition of their annual residency at New York City’s Beacon Theatre this past weekend. The band led by guitarists Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks once again treated their NYC area fans to five nights of music with plenty of special guests who ranged from Eric Krasno to Wilco’s Nels Cline.

Over the weekend, Tedeschi Trucks Band was honored by the historic New York City venue and its operators at MSG Live, who presented the group with a plaque recognizing the fact that they’ve now sold 100,000 tickets at the Beacon Theatre throughout their 39 total headlining performances at the venue over the years. The honor was presented with a video shared to the venue’s social media pages over the weekend, which featured Derek and Susan discussing some of their favorite memories from playing the Beacon and what the annual shows have meant to the band and their fans throughout the years.
“The Beacon is home for us. I guess 2000 was the first year I was here with The Allman Brothers,” Trucks starts the video by saying to Susan seated next to him. “Our son was here when he was nine days old. It feels comfortable, and it’s one of the places we always look forward to coming back to.
“We love the audience,” Tedeschi also states in the 90-second clip. “When we come back they’re always great, they always make us feel really welcome and somehow they come all the different nights so we try to make it special for them.”
