Trey Anastasio has announced a run of three solo shows at Saratoga Performing Arts Center in Saratoga Springs, NY. The SPAC dates will mark the guitarist’s first concerts in front of a live audience since Phish wrapped up a three night-run in Riviera Maya, MX on February 23rd, 2020.

According to the ticketing page, “capacity will adhere to state guidance. Currently, all seating will be sold in ‘pods’ and each group of seats must be purchased together.” In addition, guests will need to prove a recent negative test or vaccination status to attend (proof of vaccination, proof of a negative PCR test within 72 hours of the event, or proof of a negative antigen taken within six hours of the event). Guests will also be required to complete a health survey and temperature check before entering the shows, and mask requirements will be in place throughout the performances. For a full list of health and safety precautions in place for the Trey Anastasio solo shows at SPAC, head here.

In order to help achieve the testing/vaccination screening goals for the show, SPAC and promoter Live Nation are encouraging the use of the New York State Excelsior Pass, the app developed by the state in partnership with IBM that aims to “use proven, secure technology to confirm an individual’s vaccination or a recent negative COVID-19 test through a confidential data transfer to help fast-track the reopening of theaters, stadiums, and other businesses in accordance with New York State guidelines.”

Trey Anastasio solo shows are often notable for their storytelling aspect, and after a year and a half without an audience—a year that featured both the highest of highs and the lowest of lows—the three SPAC shows are sure to be emotional events.

Tickets will be available through a real-time presale beginning tomorrow, Wednesday, May 5th at 12:00 p.m. ET. A general on-sale will follow on Friday, May 7th at 12:00p.m. ET. For full ticketing details, head here.

[UPDATE 5/5/21]: Due to technical issues with the ticket pre-sale, all pre-sales for the SPAC shows have been paused. If you were able to complete a purchase and receive an confirmation number, your ticket is valid. Keep an eye out for updated pre-sale information for tomorrow, 5/6 via Trey’s social media accounts.

While fans still await word on the fate of this summer’s Phish tour, initially rescheduled from 2020, it’s worthwhile to note that Trey’s scheduled appearance with Oysterhead at The Peach Music Festival over Independence Day weekend is the only other engagement currently listed on his solo tour website.
