The Prince Estate has announced the premiere of Prince and the Revolution: Live. The show features The Purple One with The Revolution at the Carrier Dome in Syracuse, NY on March 30th, 1985.
Prince and the Revolution: Live captures Prince in his prime alongside The Revolution at a show that was originally broadcast on television around the world. The concert will debut on YouTube on Thursday, May 14th at 8 pm ET. Prior to the premiere, Revolution drummer Bobby Z. will host a special pre-screen Q&A moderated by Andrea Swensson of Minnesota Public Radio 89.3 The Current at 7 pm. After the premiere on Thursday, Prince and the Revolution: Live will be available on YouTube until 11:59 pm on Sunday, May 17th.

This comes as the Prince Estate continues to unearth gems from throughout the late musician’s expansive catalog. Last month, the Estate, alongside Legacy Recordings, released a sample of live recordings from a 2002 concert in Las Vegas. This comes in addition to recent reissues and a Grammy tribute to the musician who died in 2016 of an accidental drug overdose.
