Music fans continue to grasp at any sort of return to normalcy they can with the current hiatus of the concert and live events industry for the foreseeable future. At-home performances and archival couch tour broadcasts are all the rage amongst the live music community for the time being, but it’s worth remembering that the power of captured live audio can be just as, if not more, inspiring and revitalizing for fans who lack the unparalleled thrills of live music right now.

So fans will be happy to know that the full-set audio of Circles Around The Sun‘s performance with Eric Krasno day four Jam Cruise 18 earlier this year has now found its way online.

Circles Around The Sun embraced the rocking and rolling the caused by erratic seas outside the Pantheon Theater of the MSC Divina. The five-song performance was a more relaxed outing than their high-octane Pool Deck performance on day two, and this set heard the band slow things down to “collaborate” with the rhythm set by the bobbing ship. Whether or not that was the intention, this CATS set proved to be the perfect soundtrack to a rocky evening on the boat. With Krasno helping to fuel the machine on guitar and frequent collaborator Jeff Franca (Thievery Corporation) also joining in on percussion, Circles Around The Sun showed once again why they’re still one of the most intriguing instrumental acts on the road.
