DOMi & JD Beck further padded their nascent catalog on Wednesday with a new music video for their collaboration with Anderson .Paak, “Take A Chance”. The single will appear on the duo’s forthcoming debut album, NOT TiGHT, out on July 29th via .Paak’s APESHIT label.
As if .Paak wasn’t already doing enough for DOMi & JD Beck, he also directed and stars in the video. As the titular duo steps off the bus, .Paak is there to greet them, taking their suitcases and chauffering them off to adventure. Those same bags soon turn up missing as the gang ventures into the woods to confront the thieves—but don’t worry, because JD is packing. Back on course, the gang arrives at an immigration office with a gun, money, and a vinyl copy of NOT TiGHT, which seals the deal to secure all the proper stamps.
In addition to .Paak, NOT TiGHT will feature guest appearances from Herbie Hancock, Snoop Dogg, Busta Rhymes, Thundercat, Mac DeMarco, and Kurt Rosenwinkel, several of whom the duo has collaborated with onstage. DOMi & JD Beck previously worked with .Paak when they co-wrote “Skate” for Silk Sonic‘s lavish debut album.
