Fans who look to fitness gurus like Bobby Weir for inspiration on a healthier lifestyle now have the opportunity to lace up the sneakers and hit the gym with the Grateful Dead guitarist. Voter registration organization HeadCount has announced a new fundraising contest that offers entrants the chance to workout with Weir, in addition to winning some unique Dead-related merch and more.
According to the organization’s announcement on Thursday, fans who donate HeadCount will enter the running for a chance to win a private workout session with Weir along with custom Grateful Dead workout gear and tickets to one of his upcoming performances with travel accommodations included. The customized workout equipment includes an adjustable workout bench and dumbells, as seen in the images below.
Fans who may be low on savings from last summer’s lot earnings will be thrilled to know that donation options start as little as $10. The contest does not require entrants to download the official Grateful Bod Workout App, but it can’t hurt if you want a body like Bobby.
Speaking of Weir’s workouts, the guitarist just wrapped a week’s worth of shows at Sweetwater Music Hall with his Wolf Bros bandmates earlier this month leading up to Valentine’s Day. The trio will regroup a week from today with the first of two Florida performances at The Fillmore Miami Beach at the Jackie Gleason Theater in Miami Beach on February 28th.
