moe. has revealed the slate of special guests set to join the band at The Capitol Theatre this weekend. The extended lineup of musicians includes Warren HaynesAron Magner (The Disco Biscuits), Reid Genauer (Strangefolk, Assembly of Dust), and more who will play with moe. across December 10th and 11th in Port Chester, NY.

On hand for Friday will be Haynes, Magner, and saxophonist Shannon Lynch (Conehead Buddha). On Saturday, moe. will welcome Genauer, Nate Wilson (Assembly of Dust), and Suke Cerulo. These additional artists will bolster moe’s lineup of Al Schnier (guitars/vocals/keys), Rob Derhak (bass/vocals), Vinnie Amico (drums), and Jim Loughlin (auxiliary percussion) as founding guitarist/vocalist Chuck Garvey continues to recover from a stroke he suffered last month.

“We are feeling so blessed to be surrounded by so many friends and family,” a spokesperson for The Capitol Theatre wrote in a press release.

The Buffalo-bred quintet announced last month that Garvey had suffered a stroke on November 7th and was in stable condition. Shortly thereafter, the band cleared its remaining 2021 schedule–including a set at Holidaze and a New Year’s Eve run in Las Vegas—save for The Capitol Theatre shows. The Capitol Theatre holds a special place in moe. history as it was the site of the group’s first shows back in February 2018 after Derhak successfully underwent treatment for oropharyngeal cancer.

There will be various fundraising efforts throughout the Capitol run to help pay for Garvey’s medical expenses, in addition to a band-sanctioned GoFundMe page. Tickets and further information on the guest-filled moe. run at The Capitol Theatre on December 10th and 11th are available here.
