[UPDATE]: Organizers for Resonance Music & Arts Festival put the finishing touches on the 2022 lineup this week, finalizing the artists who will perform September 15th–17th at Woodlands Nature Reserve. The long-running Essential Productions festival will make its new home in Charleston, SC with a lineup topped by Goose (two nights, four sets), Umphrey’s Mcgee (two nights), Papadosio (three nights), and more. Papadosio will celebrate the 10th anniversary of its album T.E.T.I.O.S. by playing all 20 songs over two of three nights.

Also sitting atop the 2022 Resonance lineup are Amon Tobin Presents Two Fingers DJ Set, Lotus (two nights), Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, Emancipator, The Floozies, and Big Something. The three-day multi-disciplinary festival will also host sets from Bluetech, Cloudchord, Daily Bread, Defunk, Doom Flamingo, Little Stranger, Mark Farina, Megan Hamilton, Moon Hooch, The Motet, SkiiTour, The Sponges, SunSquabi, and Tripp St.

The 2022 roster is then rounded out by Amber Lily, Dizgo, DJ Moldybrain, Easy Honey, Eggy (x2), Elephantproof (x2), Flipturn, Happy Landing, Intergalactic Space Force, LITZ, Lusine, Mind At Large, Mindex, Peli Inbound, Pip The Pansy, Proxima Parada (x2), The Reckoning, Sam Burchfield & The Scoundrels, Skiz, The Talismen, The Thing, Vinja, and Virginia Man.

Woodlands Nature Reserve marks the latest home for Resonance, which began at Frontier Ranch in Pataskala, OH in 2013 and then took place at Thornville, OH’s Legend Valley from 2014–2018. Since then, the jam-meets-electronic festival has bounced around to Cooper’s Lake in Slipper Rock, PA (2019) and Marvin’s Mountaintop in Masontown, WV (2021).

[6/17/22]: Resonance Music & Arts Festival has finished its gradual rollout of the initial slate of artists for its 2022 event, set to take place September 15th–17th in a new location, Woodland Nature Reserve in Charleston, SC.

In addition to headliners Umphrey’s McGee (two sets), Goose (two nights, four sets), Papadosio (three sets including  T.E.T.I.O.S. 10-year anniversary set), Lotus (two nights), and Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, the Phase 1 Resonance 2022 lineup features Big Something, Bluetech, Cloudchord, Defunk, The Floozies, Mark Farina, Megan Hamilton, Moon Hooch, The Motet, SkiiTour, The Sponges, SunSquabi, and Tripp St. Other highlights include two sets each by Eggy and ElephantProof, and Proxima Parada.

The initial announcement also leaves the door open for Resonance to round out the electronic music element of the 2022 lineup, with several TBA slots and a headlining set earmarked for electronic artists.

The new Charleston, SC venue is the latest stop for Resonance following a year at Marvin’s Mountaintop in Masontown, WV in 2021. The jam/electronic festival, which began in 2014 at Thornville, OH’s Legend Valley, has bounced around in recent years since leaving Ohio after 2018. In 2019, Resonance moved to Cooper’s Lake in Slippery Rock, PA for a year.
