The latest live Grateful Dead video from the band’s “All The Years Live” series is now available through the band’s official YouTube page. The new video features “Heaven Help The Fool” from October 30th, 1980 at New York City’s Radio City Music Hall.

As the band’s official archivist David Lemieux explains in the video’s description, “This is the only song from Bob’s 1978 solo record Heaven Help The Fool that made it into the Dead’s setlist, aside from the one-time performance of Salt Lake City in 1995. This was only ever played acoustically, and without vocals, by the Grateful Dead, but they sure did have fun with it.”

“Heaven Help The Fool” is the title track off of Bob Weir‘s second solo studio album, which was recorded during time off from touring during the summer of 1977. This “Heaven Helps The Fool” came towards the end of the Grateful Dead’s first set of their three-set Radio City show. Weir and Jerry Garcia engage in some tight-knit interplay on their acoustics guitars, backed by some funky bongo work out of Mickey Hart‘s corner.
