Kendall Street Company is the latest band to embrace the growing drive-in concert format as the five-piece group from Virginia will play an outdoor show in their home state next month.

Announced on Wednesday, the band will perform a one-night drive-in show in the parking lot at Virginia Center Commons in Glen Allen, VA (just north of Richmond) as presented by WNRN on Saturday, September 26th. According to the announcement, cars will be parked at appropriate social distances at a first-arrive, first-serve basis, and concertgoers will be allowed to sit or dance directly adjacent to their vehicle. Each ticket will be valid for entry of one car containing no more than four concertgoers, including children.

CDC rules and local health officials will require to have all staff working the event to have their temperature checked upon arrival at the makeshift venue, and the use of masks will be enforced for anyone entering/exiting the venue and using the restroom.

Though they’re still an up-and-coming act within the jam scene, Kendall Street Company continues to grow in popularity thanks to their appearances at fan-friendly events in recent years including 2019 Domefest.

Other bands who have announced or already played their own drive-in events in this COVID-19 era of live events include Umphrey’s McGee, Marc Rebillet, Goose, Billy Strings, Yonder Mountain String Band, Twiddle, Marcus King TrioDark Star Orchestra, Citizen Cope, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, SunSquabi, Guster, Pink Talking Fish, and The Avett Brothers, among many others.

Tickets for the band’s September 26th drive-in show go on sale this Friday, August 28th, at 10 a.m. ET here.
