The latest installment in the Grateful Dead‘s “All The Years Live” video series is now available on the band’s YouTube channel. The video features a fiery performance of the Bob Weir/John Perry Barlow-penned “Throwing Stones” from the Dead’s 1987 New Year’s Eve show at the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum in Oakland, CA.

As Grateful Dead archivist David Lemieux notes in the video’s description:

Debuting in September 1982, Throwing Stones rather quickly found a home as the penultimate song of many Grateful Dead second sets in the final decade+ of the Dead’s touring activities. Usually followed by Not Fade Away, Throwing Stones was a powerful Weir-Barlow song with a political message, a rarity for the Grateful Dead. Now, nearly forty years after its debut, its message still resonates, perhaps more strongly than ever.
