The latest installment in the ongoing “All The Years Live” video series from the Grateful Dead is available now on the band’s YouTube channel. The new archival release comes from the Dead’s concert at Rich Stadium in Orchard Park, NY on July 16th, 1990. This performance came a mere 10 days before the untimely death of keyboardist Brent Mydland, and this tender version of “High Time” stands as a testament to how he was able to caress the piano keys just as well as he could wail on the organ.

As Grateful Dead archivist David Lemieux notes in the video’s description,

High Time was played quite a bit in 1969 and 1970, and was one of the many standouts on Workingman’s Dead in 1970 (OK, all eight songs on the album are standouts!). It was dropped in 1970 until it made its return in 1976, and it was played every year 1976-1995 with the exception of 1978, 1983, and 1989.
