The latest installment in the Grateful Dead‘s ongoing “All The Years Live” archive video series is available now on the band’s YouTube page. This newest video showcases the Dead’s performance of “Sugaree” from their October 18th, 1974 concert at the Winterland Arena in San Francisco, CA, which originally acted as the band’s farewell run prior to their two-year hiatus from touring from 1974-76.
The video for “Sugaree” now adds to the small collection of previous “All The Years Live” releases from the 1974 Winterland run including “Truckin'”, “China Cat Sunflower” / “I Know You Rider”, and “Morning Dew”.

Grateful Dead archivist David Lemieux notes in the video’s description,
When we were producing the DVD of ‘The Grateful Dead Movie’ in 2004, the first unreleased song we transferred to see if we’d be able to include bonus songs was this version of Sugaree. It was selected for a number of reasons: it was excellent; there were several camera angles filmed, and it was short-enough to do a test on. Once the 16mm film was transferred and edited, and then synced with the audio, we realized we’d be able to include plenty of bonus material. This wonderful “Sugaree” began that process.
